So in a diploid cell, before DNA replication the DNA looks likes a line, like this "l", but after DNA replication, the DNA looks like this, "X". Is the first structure, "l" called a chromosome or a chromatid. And is the second structure, "X", called a chromosome or a chromatid.

Also, for a gamete before it goes through DNA replication, it is a haploid right?, and after DNA replication for a gamete, it still is a haploid - right?

I really appreciate it if you guys answer Thanks =)

While it is not replicating the I is called a chromosome. When replication starts and the X is known as a chromosome and the two I that make up the X known as chromatids, once replication is complete the chromatids, the Is, become the chromosomes of the new cells.
