^Agrees. Don't use them:smile:
the pills are ridiculous scams. the plant (i think its a cactus) itself is eaten by natives who use it to supress their hunger during long journeys across plains etc. studies into whether this "unique quality" of the hoodia (cordona(sp?)) can be used in dieting pills is still being carried out. the pills you are thinking of trying dont have any of that breed of hoodia in them as it is still illegal and hasn't been investigated thoroughly enough. they in fact probably have really bad side effects too. won't be long till they have the real hoodia; i personally think they should just import it, grow it in greenhouses, dry it and sell it in holland and barrets.
Nicole Richie uses them apparently. She looks awful.Don't do it.

No dont do it if you want to lose weight please do it sensibly, weight loss pills are usually just scams anyway
This is made from proper, authentic hoodia from the Kalahari desert, and is fairtrade, with a portion of the profits going to the natives. Shame you can only get it in the US at the moment....

any more opinions??
My impression from various forums is that hoodia is fully legit, and gaining popularity. I'll find some relevant threads about it if I can.

EDIT: remember that appetite suppressants may prevent you actually feeling hungry as such - but is that really the only time you want to eat? I know for me, I rarely feel hunger - but eating is always pleasurable and tempting.

It seems that there ARE a lot of bogus hoodia products around, so make sure youre getting a well-reviewed brand.

I do suggest that you read up about it and pick your source carefully

Those pills were featured on that new consumer programme "old dogs, new tricks" (or something like that anyway...) last night (yeah, I don't get out much :p: ).
As I recall they did some tests/research on the pills currently available and found no scientific backing for the claims made, so basically the conclusion drawn was that they don't work, and are a waste of money.

I've heard of this awesome new thing for when you want to eat but don't want to pile on weight.

It's called ****ing will power. You might want to look into it.
