Yeh its always worth a look just in case. Is it true to say if the course you're applying for is available in clearing then it means there are places available and the university would be more accepting of students not quite meeting their original offer? Wishful thinking anyway!

Or perhaps they're in clearing because the offer of that particular course hasn't been met.... it could go either way really

Most of the clearing places are listed in the universities main webistes. So if you are eager you can browse while you wait for the main ucas list to come up.

I'm doing the same thing, going to sort everything out tonight so tomorrow when I'm in a panic I'll be able to calm knowing I have my back ups slightly planned.

Ah i see. Was wondering if there was a downside. Though it doesnt really make sense to reject many people who have just missed a grade in order to make the course available for clearing applicants who may not even fill the places. Oh well, 9 hours isn't that long to stay up to find out.

It won't let anyone log in until morning. This is the message I got when I just tried:

"We are currently updating the Track Service in preparation for launch during the morning of August 17th 2006. Thank you for your patience."

EDIT: How would you define 'morning' in this context? Mid-morning or anything after 12?

argh just been on the manchester clearing site and their entry requirments for audiology(the course i wanna do) has gone up to ABB and iv got on offer off BBB. I dont think il get this and they said at my interview that they would accept BBC, do u think thell accept me with this now?
