Turn the shower on full, then stick your ear right up against it, might flush it out. If that doesnt work, get yourself down A+E, shouldnt be too busy.

Also, you're a muppet

Also  @
I CANT GET IT OUT

Exactly because touching or doing that thing in the shower will just lodge it in further, whereas at the moment it might just require SOMEONE ELSE with a pair of tweezers. Trust me my mum's a qualified nurse.

EDIT : If your brothers are older they might be able to help but your safest bet is to LEAVE IT ALONE and go to the doctor in the morning (probably after you have picked up your results, but make the appointment as soon as they open.)

My shower thing is tried and tested actually, ive got plenty of stuff outta my ears doing that. Best not prod it anymore though, it might end up IN YOUR BRAIN, just get a taxi to the hospital if you cant wait til the morning

He was taking the piss about the shower. Go to A&E. Get a bus or a taxi. If you try and get it out, you'll either wedge it in further (making it harder for the doctor when you do eventually go) or risk bursting your eardrum, which isn't pleasant and slow to heal.

Never did I think I'd read a thread like this on a forum about going to university.

im not sure about this, surely flooding either ear will risk you getting the water in the ear deafness you get swimming, and it would be quite painful if the water started pushing it in further.

He was taking the piss about the shower.

well thats just not nice, the OP is clearly distressed and in a moment of desperation.

whatever you do dont touch it, if it damages your ear it you might get an infection so maybe just leave it as it is. just wake up your brother, they will probably just laugh at you but never mind.

OMG! Sorry but that is hilarious, it really is.

WHATEVER YOU DO - DON'T PERFORATE YOUR EAR DRUM!

Which is why I'm advising he doesn't introduce pressurised water into his other ear, filling it up with water and possibly inducing deafness in that ear too. Satisfied?

OP - Ring NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 and they'll advise you as to the best course of action

Its days like this, that I'm thankful that I'm walking distance from the local hospital.

I once got into a smiliar jam when I stuck a button up my nose.

However I was 4 and I managed to dislodge it very quickly.
