What grades did you get? If you don't mind me asking?

I'm still waiting for the track to get updated and I haven't got my grades yet.

I'm in! Anyone else doing economics?! Also, is a commute Croydon to Brunel just plain crazy?

lol, i live in hackney (east london, zone 2) and i'll be commuting everyday via liverpool street station (zone 1) on the metropolitan line. it sounds crazy because its from the second stop to uxbridge (zone 6), but with a zone 1-6 travelcard costing £110/month and an ensuite at £92/wk, the 2hrs+ commute is my only real problem...

mind u, a commute from croyden to uxbridge will be a lot lot cheaper than from zone 1. do u think you'll be living on campus or at home then?

Urgh, i have no idea what to do! I want to live on campus cos i dont want to feel like im missing out socially. BUT accom at £92 is gonna out a big strain on me. Also, if i did live out, it'd only be for the 1st year so im gonna have to get used to commuting eventually...

So if i stayed at home i'd save a LOT more but it'd be 4hrs travel a day. But, i could save up for a car so if it gets a bit much then drive there?? How long is your commute? You seem quite laid back about it lol. Oh, and what are u studying? Lol i dont think this post makes much sense but this is all the crap thats been running through my poor head!

lol hi sheena - trust me, im not feeling very laid back about my loooong daily commute! it would be at *least* 2hrs a day just to get there! and getting to liverpool st stn in the morning will be absolute hell in rush hour (im praying lectures start at a decent hour....say, around, 11...?

do u already own a car? im not sure id recommend driving 2 uni everyday and back. it would cost a lot of petrol, people will want to bump a ride, and it would still be a really long commute...

but i totally do understand - everything you're worrying about im worrying about too! im stressing my socks off to all my friends (who r faithfully reassuring me im making the right [and cheaper!] decision by staying at home) that i wont make as many friends or that im missing out - but hey, we can both me loners! lol. :p:

oh and btw, im doing history - how about u?
