I Want to ICT Applied AS/A2 level but it says entry requirements are ICT National Level 2 – Merit or GCSE Computing – C grade and GCSE English – C grade. I can definitely get C in English but i didn't do GCSE Computing or the ICT national course. I really want to do A level ICT Applied because i think it's more straight forward than A level Computing which is extremely difficult. Also in BTEC Business Level 3 it says you need GCSE business or Btec business level 2 help. Only thing I hope i'm secure to get into is A level accountancy which requires C grade in Math and English.

I take Applied ICT and I personally did take GCSE ICT. However, some people in my class didn't take ICT at GCSE but were allowed to take it anyway, though I'm not sure whether this is just my sixth form.

The reason they ask is that the AS/A2 course will more than likely include a lot of skills learnt from GCSE ICT/Business, so it helps to have those qualifications. Your chosen college/sixth form might be different though, and require these GCSE qualifications.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help.
