for 5e) isomer f, how does CH2CHCH2CH2NH2 form a polymer? are we supposed to know alkenes and amines can react in the syllabus?

The isomer is a hydroxyamine, not an amine as you have drawn.

You are supposed to know that a hydroxy group can condense with an amine group with elimination of water:

HO-CH2CH2CH2CH2-NH2 --> heterocycle + H2O

the hydroxyamine becomes an unsaturated amine after dehydration though right?

oh, nvm, cant find this anywhere in the book though
