Discuss away! Any useful information you may have just below and I will quote to put in OP.

First of all, anyone have any theories on whats going to come up in this exam?

Alright guys did some research,

On Historical studies
According to the examiner report this section was answered 'generally' well!
They kept repeating that students failed to answer 2nd parts of some questions..

Sports psychology
Was okay.
Role of arousal was particularly not answered well. Many student omitted this question (meaning they left this outt)..
This could likely comeup again (it happened in chemistry this year)

The 'use' of laissez-approach was poorly answered. I dont know if it will comeup again its 50/50

Erm in Sports Physiology
Many students were unable to write correct definitions and mesurements (im not to sure what they're talking about specifically) all i know enery is measured in joules lol...
(Its a shame the june2013 paper is not available)
The role of ATP is was poorly answered properly and in detail.

Im not a betting guy, but if i had to bet on something this would most likely comeup again. Or something related to ATP or definitions!

The 20marker was flexibility, which was answered quite well.. The weaker students 'failed' to explain the factors affecting flexibilty in sport..

Im not sure if flexibility will come up again (theres only like 4 questions in each topic).. You never know!

Im not a fortune teller

Hi all, best of luck to every one in the exam!
Predictions for me are:

Comparative
-Mass participation AUS v UK
-Radical ethic/Pluralism/Hegemony USA v UK
-Case study sports likely NOT to be Rugby Union or Association football
-Likely NOT to be a a sporting excellence 20 marker but may be a 5 marker
-20 marker is likely to be AUS v UK

Psychology
-Likely sports confidence/self-efficacy to come up
-Emotional control (peak flow/zone of optimum functioning)
-Narrow band theory of personality/personality perhaps 20 marker
-Leadership is UNLIKELY
-Might be something on group cohesion and goal setting wasnt answered well last year

Exercise Physiology
-V02 max and adaptions to aerobic training likely to come up/perhaps 20 marker
-Strength likely to be may also be 20 marker
-Role of ATP not answered well last year + energy/work/power definition and units
-Obesity levels/body composition a possibility
-Perhaps fuel availability
-Passive/Active recovery perhaps
-Might be something on ergogenic aids, especially the unusual ones like parachutes and pulleys

Hope this helps.
Also, could anybody be kind enough to post a little tutorial on how to plan, structure and answer 20 markers. Its been my weak point through AS and A2 so far, and i really want to do well in this upcoming exam. Any advice is appretiated.
June 2013 Questions (Unlikely they will appear again this year, apart from the odd one)

Comparative:
Initiatives to promote Physical Education + Sport in Australia and UK
Development of football in Australia compared with UK
Benefit of summer camps in USA to young people. Reasons summer camps arent as popular in UK
*High School sport in USA + Secondary schools in UK
Effectiveness of USA + UK System

Sports Psychology:
Importance for goal setting to lead a BAHL
Cue Utilisation effects on performance, with practical examples
Characteristics of leadership types: Task-orientated, social-orientated, Laissez-faire + Practical example in sport
*Positive and Negative effects of audience in sport
Strategies to prevent effects of Social Inhibition

Exercise Physiology:
Types of strength + Method to measure strength
Evaluating diet intake + Recommendation for diet improvement
Definitions: Energy, Work, Power
Role of ATP in providing energy for muscular contraction
*Define Flexility
Factors affecting flexibility of a performer with examples
Types of training to develop flexibility

Thanks in advance!

Historical studies
Sports psychology
Sports physiology

My advice for 20markers is if you run out points/ things to say make lots of evaluative points and examples.. But make sure you're not repeating yourself and obvi you wont be awarded marks.

They should allow us to go into the exams with our revision guide tbh lol this exam has too much content and less than 50% comes up in the exam.

I would personally know it in the same amount of depth as I don't see why it wouldn't be any less important
