Hi everyone, many congrats to those of you who got your grades and who are off to uni this year!
As for me I didn't apply this year anyway and got ABB in my a-levels, A in bio, B in maths which was 2 marks off an A and a B in chem. I still really really really want to do vet med at uni but I'm now stuck as to what to do as obviously this grades are not good enough (especially the B in chem)
What are universities like about retaking some of the modules? I don't really want to have 2 gap years and so if I decline my A level results and retake those modules in january what do you reckon would be the unis view on this? I am definitely going to ring them up next week as they'll surely be swamped with other people phoning up who have applied this time round at the moment. I just wanted to get an idea about the situation so any replies would be grately appreciated,

P.S Work experience wise I have 9 weeks (started in 2005) and am going to do a vet work experience placement thing in South Africa for 3 months so on this side of things I think I will have just enough (although I intend to get some pig work experience during my gap year also)

Those grades are good enough if you do well at interview. Practice the Bmat so that you get a good score and in theory you can still get in, I got an offer of ABB.
