I've heard that from 2007 Universities will be able to see your individual unit marks - so will know if you have re-sat any... Now is this including those applying this September for entry in September 2007?

Furthermore, for those universities and who specifically specify that the requirements should be achieved in 1 sitting (E.g. I think Warwick Law - AAA says it needs to be achieved in 1st sitting) - how do they actually find out/do they even bother to?

IIRC, you put when you got the grades (or when you'll be getting the grades) on your UCAS form.

So those saying that universities don't know if you retaken or not are wrong - because they could infer from information provided that you have (Such as date achieved and whether you declare your AS grades or simply put 'pending') - is that right?

I think I'd better leave someone else to reply to you just in case I get things wrong here (I studied Highers rather than A-levels).

I think what Warwick mean is that they want you to do full Alevels in two years, which would include possible resitting modules, but not resitting a whole year.

There's actually a stickied thread on module grades and resits for 2007 entry, which addresses many of your questions and concerns. Give that a read.
