they reckon that 9x% of graduates go on to employment or further education within 6 months of leaving.
employment could be burger flipping at McDonald's, so bear that in mind

But thats the same for the majority of unis isnt it?? 90%+ employment or further study in 6 months.....
I dont know any university off hand that don't have that
I guess the problem as you said rocketboy, is that 'employment' doesnt take into account instances when the degree wasn't in any way relevant.

Before i put my foot in my mouth, there isnt a degree in burger flipping is there? :p:

Good, friendly, militant, communist university, equal in many aspects to Oxbridge.

Academically equal to Oxbridge in Law, Medicine and Geography if you must know!

However, yes thankfully there are mostly normal (ish) people at Keele!

Lol no i was being serious there, if you look at the ratings that Keele has for those subjects, they are exactly the same as Oxbridge.

Just you don't get the snob factor at Keele!

Although yeh, most of the time on this board i am being sarcy...usually!

Lol in that case... thank you very much!

Am quite looking forward to it now! Not that i wasn't before this, but when i told people that i was going to Keele Uni they were like, 'Where the hell is that?!' Hence my concern...!

But Hey! Its all good!
Just tell them it's halfway between Birmingham and Manchester. They will have heard of those places...
I had a few drinks with a lecturer of english from Oxford after my final day at my 6th form. I didn't really like him at first because I hate Oxbridge (it's a class thing, the same reason that I hate being in the same town as Rugby School) but when we got talking he was actually really cool. We ended up talking about the blues a bit. Anyway, back on topic, it turned out that he was a lecturer at Keele before Oxford and he thought it was a great place.

I can't remember much of what he said because of the setting. I THINK I remember him saying that it was the nicest campus that he had ever seen and when I said that I was worried about Keele being looked down upon he said that it was a great uni and he would be proud if one of his kids went there.

One of the last school trips i went on to barcelona my old french teacher went, we got talking bout what i'm going to do after i finish school so i said i was going ot keele. To my suprise he said he went to keele university and said he absolutely loved it, amazing time, amazing people, amazing campus (though he did say it was along time ago that he went, but as you can tell he thought was pretty darn good then). Just hate it when i say i'm going to keele and everyone is like "wheres that?" "never heard of that place before".

Most people who don't know the Uni at least know the service station. That's how I've described the location to the people who don't know anything about it.

A few of my Sociology tutors at college did their teacher training thing at Keele. It's all good.
my english teacher went there and she adored the place and everything that has to do with keele. a friend of mine just finished her first year and loves it.

i used to hate the fact that people would go '' keele? whats that? where is it?'' and stare at me as if am going to a crappy uni... now am starting to love it ... feels a little bit special and am really proud to go there...
