Hi, this is for a friend who wants to do medicine:

AS levels:

Maths C
Chemistry C
Biology E
General Studies U
Economics U

GCSE: 3A*s, 6As, B's
Januray AS exams grades: Economics A, Maths (p1) A 85%, Biology B 67/90,
Chemistry A.
Retake the whole year???
Or retake 1 moduel from each subject in January to push AS grades to A/B.

I am confident he'll get A in maths, and hopefully A in Chemistry and B in Biology if he retakes S1 and 1 module from Biology and Chem.
Was thinking of doing year 1 of Biomedical Science at QMW, then transfer to Medicine if they get the offer. Likelyhood of this? anyone at QM who has done a year of a science degree and transfer to Medicine.

Any advice and comments please.
Do you have to declare your AS grades???
Likelyhood of offers?
Being realistic?

Thankyou

There is no transfer from a biomed sci to medicine at QM/BL. You can do a whole biomedical sciences degree and then apply for GEP, and there are 10-16 reserved places on the BL GEP for QM biomed sci students....

From next year, med schools will have your UMS marks as well as predicted grades, to go off...
