    my maths modules:

    C1 - 91/100
    C2 - 80/100
    M1 - 65/100

    gets me overall AS B.

    my further maths modules:

    D1 - 79/100
D2 - 56/100 (lost 15 marks out of 72 one one question because i misread maximin for maximum)
    FP1 - 82/100

also gets me overall AS B.

Now i heard that the modules interchange so that you get the highest mark in Maths and a lower mark in Further maths. So by swapping D1 for M1, I'd get an A in maths and a C in further maths.
    Is this right?
Also, does it change if i want to carry on maths to full A level and drop FM after AS? Can i then CHOOSE to have an AS B in further maths?
    Im confused.

Also, does anyone know if any ocr general studies papers have been marked incorrectly? Because i got two A's and then a U in the politics paper 33/100 but i swear i didnt do THAT bad in it :-S got an overall C for GS.

    ... anyone?

No. It works like this. They have to put C1 - C4 in your single maths mark. They then put two more modules in which gets you the lowest possible UMS at your highest possible grade. Bit confusing, but basically if you CAN get an A overall, you will do so, but it will be the lowest possible A. The remaining modules then go into further maths, either AS or full depending on whether you drop it or not.

The exceptions are the FP1 - 3 modules which have to be further maths modules.

so i get an A and a C then? can D1 be separated from D2?

    sorry to sound thick

Actually, you won't get anything! Your maths grades aren't certified until the end of the A2 year, when they sort it all out.

    so what goes on ucas?

say i drop further maths at the end of AS, does a predicted AS grade go on?
