OK, so I've only just got talking to this girl (a friend of another) and we've been msn-ing over the summer and now she's back from holiday she's suggested LOADS of things i can go to like masisve parties, balls, hunting things, and it's waaay too much. i'm not even sure if i like her. plus this term is gonna be really busy for me as i'm doing my A2s (she's only doing AS). i don't want to let her down, but i feel it's kinda a bit too much when I don't really know her that well. am i being too stodgy?
plus i kinda have my eye on someone else. i just don't want to seem nasty or unwelcoming. and i don't really want a relationship right now. too much responsability when i've got other things to think about.

I wouldn't say you were being too stodgy [definition: heavy and starchy and hard to digest; "stodgy food"; "a stodgy pudding served up when everyone was already full"].
Seriously, she's probably just being friendly. Try explaining to her what you've just told us about being busy with A2s but perhaps agree to go to SOME but not all of the things she's suggested if you have the time?
