Im at Sheavyn House as well. Havent been inside the buildings but the grounds around are amazing. If you havent been you go through a gate and down a road and then you are in like a park. Very grassy and leafy. Its beautiful and looks like a great area to relax. Hopefully the weather aint too bad but im not too hopeful with Manchester.

Funny kids. Ok, slightly baffled by the contract. It says on the contrac and I quote: "If you do not intend to take up occupancy of your accomodation until after the first day of the period of residence, you must inform the hall of residence office in writing in advance itherwise your room may be allocated to another stident three days after the start of the Period of Residence.

My period of residence is 14th September - 21st June. So does that mean if I wanna move in the 15th, I have to send them a letter? Very confude. Pls help. and oh yeah, anyone gt student loan stuff thru yet? I sent mine of in june and still zilch!

Hey I'm a current Manc!

I have to speak to accommodation office tomorrow anyway so I'll ask them about it and send you a PM.

Spatel16 - you wont be able to get your keys any earlier than the start of your contract date - which is 14th sept i believe. But all the rooms in sheavyn house are the same size so by all means go to look around sheavyn house if you can on the open day and have a look at any bedroom so you can get an idea of the size. But yeah, you wont be able to see your flat and your room until you move in from 14th onwards.

Sheavyn consists of three blocks - block one has the common room and laundry room and something like flats A-I, Block two is something like flats J-Q and block three has the rest of the flats.

So Spatel16, youre in block 2 (the middle block), Flat P, third floor (ground floor is counted as floor 0 i think so youre up 4 flights of stairs in actual fact), and room number 1.

Hope that helps. Any more questions?

Yes every room in Sheavyn is ensuite. Bring your own pans and cutlery for sure. There may be a kettle already there but you cant have too many kettles so bring your own if you like tea. I hope you dont talk like you type.

Btw ow u mean hope u dont talk lyk u type?? xx wb xx

Well you do a lot of random laughing out loud. You have weird sentence structures. Your spelling is not good but i imagine that is a product of msn messenger and myspace.

ensuite = Toilet, shower and washbasin.
