edexcel june 2014 maths calculator paper

just finished the calculator paper today and i'm wondering what to do when you aren't given units of accuracy to round to. There was a question where the answer was a length and i got a recurring number. What do i do in that situation?

The best thing to do is to give it as a fractional form, since that doesn't require any rounding. Otherwise, three significant figures is usually a good degree of accuracy to round to and if it doesn't specifically tell you to what degree of accuracy to round to, you should be absolutely fine with 3sf - assuming you got the right answer, of course.
