This had been bugging me for years. Whenever I read a story about a humanitarian crisis (civil wars/natural disasters etc.), whenever they showed a picture of an aid agency at work and a car was featured it was always a Toyota. And today I found the answer why - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4777293.stm . Some crappy firm in Gibraltar almost supplies half of the cars for humanitarian projects across the globe, and they're affiliated to Toyota.

Now that's a random trivia fact.

Also, Toyota trucks are the most reliable in the world. They'll keep on going even if they're totally abused and not serviced, which is often the case in some of the war-torn countries where they are used.

Didn't they trash a toyota truck on Top Gear, including crushing it and dumping it in the ocean, and still managed to get the engine running afterwards?
