Yes you can apply.
Although an A in econ would have been better for your chances.

Chances are they won't bother interviewing you. Art is notoriously non-academic, and you have a B in the subject you wish to apply for.

It depends on your predictions. What are you predicted in economics?
It will also depend on the strength of your gcses, personal statement and reference, although the degree as to which these factors could influence you application is hard to say.

IMO, its still worth a shot, nothing to lose and everything to gain

if you're motivated and really passionate about economics, give it a go, it's only one of your 6 ucas slots after all.

The threadstarter has already taken A-levels so has no predictions.

I totally disagree with this. I'm sure they'll interview you, you have the crucial A in Maths. You do stand a chance, but you'll be up against a lot of strong candidates.

It might be wise to choose a college which uses extra tests (ie. the TSA) and/or requires you to submit work, as you could then shine in those, and if you do a good interview, that could outweigh the B in economics. At the end of the day, economics at A-level is quite different to what you'd be studying here.
