I was predicted three Bs going into my A levels and came out with a C (English) D (Music) E (French). While I still got into the University of my choice (my insurance), I was extermely disappointed and my family was too.

Having recently found out I am dyslexic, my A level results have been playing on my mind. One thing my dyslexic assessment found out was that if I can't spell a word than I will often avoid that word and even change my pharses to avoid that word (I just did it right now because I was having trouble writing sentenses).

Also, my spelling of French words would have been hampered by this as we weren't allowed a dictorary except for coursework, in which I got a B. I also got a A/B for my English coursework.

While I shouldn't care about my results now because I am at University, it really bothers me espically when filling out job applications and I was wondering if anyone knew if the exam board (all three exams were WJEC) would consider an appeal this late on because of my dyslexia.

sorry, but I don't think so..having said that, I'd recommend considering re-taking those A-levels; you'd be given special consideration this time round, doing it shouldn't be difficult at all, having experienced degree level difficulty, and those grades may hinder you in job applications, particularly in the initial stage of screening.

I wouldn't resit French or Music because I have forgotten a lot of my French and I am doing a Music degree.

I am considering doing another A level next year - possible either Media Studies or Business Studies (I already have an AS in Business)
