Hello

I am turning 17 in August and I am looking around for the best car for me to buy in terms of price for the actual car plus the price to insure it.

Cheapest I have found so far is a VW Polo £1350 to insure and around £600 to buy.

Is there likely to be any car cheaper than this. I know its hard to estimate the price for insurance, but estimates are appreciated.

that's pretty good quote have you tried direct line Driveplus, it's significantly cheaper and also the black box has no curfews and doesn't increase your quote for any reason.

What difference does it make if you a male or female?
EU law made it law that insurance companies can't use gender to decide premium prices.

If it helps, mine was £1050. £650 for a car, and £400 to insure. This was two years ago.

Was a Vectra 2.0 DTi. Odd car for a 17 year old, but the insurance was dirt cheap on it.

I'm almost 19 now.
