People are always complaining about how hard they have it whether they're a man or woman. I was wondering if you can think of good things about being a man / woman.

I like that I can comment on the cuteness of random peoples babies without being branded a creep.

Now your turn

edit:
I'm surprised at so many girls saying boobs. I actually kind of like not having big boobs as I'm not too keen on them.

DAT PATRIARCHY!

Seriously though, I'd say generally knowing I can go out shopping, or to a pub/club etc without anyone hassling me, cat-calling, being inappropriate when I don't want their attention etc. Also not having to worry about being judged over what I'm wearing/looking like as much, though admittedly a lot of women's insecurities on that come from judgement of other women. But guys don't really care what other guys are dressed like IMO. I mean if a guy goes "mate I hate to say it, but I feel the tone of your t-shirt just doesn't quite go with those jeans and those shoes, I just don't feel you're presenting yourself so well..." and gossips about it...he'll be the one getting the piss taken.

Good things: being able to wear makeup without being judged, having boobs (love em), being able to sometimes use the "I'm on my period" excuse to wind up males when necessary (apologising here to male PE teachers in particular) and being able to care about my clothing/fashion sense without being judged.

Being female isn't too bad actually!

Is it just me who absolutely loves being a guy? Most men on TSR say the opposite.

Best thing would probably be how little effort I have to make, roll out of bed and leave the house.

Best thing for women would have to be boobs though (Y) :giggle:

Not having to worry about being the one that gets pregnant and all the crap that comes with it seems like a pretty sweet one

Being able to have long hair and not getting judged

Also another thing which I guess only is valid for the olden days but oh well - not being forced to take part in a war. Poor men :/ If I lived back in those days I would feel so guilty for being able to stay at home

Living longer then males on average. Periods seem like a small price to pay.

Do they really? I'm sure that if I was told I could live an extra 5-7 years but would be emotionally unstable and lets face it, a bit grim in all regards (no offence) one week of every month, I would probably recklessly go with the shorter but less annoying life.

And even with all of that said, an average doesn't apply to everyone.
