Hello Arsey. I forgot to put my calculator in radians throughout the exam. What will happen

rip
for 3b I had (8pi / pi + 2) y = x - (2pi / pi + 2)

If you rearrange for y and plug in the x as pi, you get y = pi/8. Perhaps and alternative method?

Reasonable paper, some tricky parts but most was okay. Nothing really unusual so if you hammered the past papers you should have been fine.

I would expect boundaries around the Jan-13 mark.

Hey Arsey

If I got the range of g(x) wrong i.e. g(x)>4 but I did find the value of g(3)=4 would I be credited a mark?

If instead for the primrose question part d) I said ''Suppose P=270'' and then deduced e0.1t=27e^{0.1t}=-27 Which is obviously impossible so the population of primroses can never be 270 - would I get a mark for this?

Hey Arsey, if I forgot to find dy/dx and proceeded with question 3 with a correct value for dx/dy having done the differentiation correctly, how many marks do you reckon I'd get?
Well f**K. Might get a B if the grade boundaries are low. Consistently getting high As in the Solomon Press and gold papers then this f**ker comes along.

Will I lose marks for not including any working in question 9, parts B and C, but getting the final answers right? Also in Question 3, part B, I think I found dy/dx okay but something went wrong with my substitution, how many marks would I get for that?

Arsey for 7b I did 2theta+10 instead of 4theta+10 which got me 10 and 100 degrees. How many marks do you reckon I can get max? 3/5 or 2/5?

Arsey, if for question 3B I forgot to use the product rule(stupid, I know) but then did everything else correct i.e. dy/dx=1/ dx/dy and y-y1=m(x-x1) how many marks would I get?

I did this too :s-smilie:

Did well. Probably got a middling A on that one :smile: Forgot to differentiate on 5b), and only realised that question 9 even existed about 5 minutes before the end :eek: , but I managed to get about 5 of those marks.

very very easy paper looks like Edexcel have learnt there mistake from the M1 paper last week, everyone I've asked said that this was the easiest paper they've done

I'd say

75 = 100UMS
73 = 90UMS
70 = 80UMS
65 = 70UMS
55 = U

lol you honestly think 70/75 for an A
If I didnt realise for question 9 that the whole thing was squared and worked with that assumption, would I get any marks??

How many marks do you think I will lose if on the last question, I found the smallest value of theta in that range instead of the largest value?

That's what I did. So close to 75/75 :frown:

Can anyone help me, for question 3 I got dy/dx to be 40, any idea how I went wrong? and many many marks would I lose for this, please someone

Got everything right except for the last part of the very last question
*crosses fingers for 74 = 100 UMS*
omg failed this paper in tears now

Hahaha you are clueless, it was an easy paper but the grade boundaries won't be that high.

Hi arsey, thanks for the solutions once again.

I put the following answer for 8C:

80e^-1/(e^-1+3)^2

I typed it in on my calculator and it gives the same answer as your solution am I likely to get the marks still also?

Also if I put the solution for t as -10ln(1/5) will I lose an accuracy mark?
