As a summer project I have to produce a sketchbook on how a particular art movement influenced design. I have to draw and annotate the construction methods (fixings and fastenings) as employed in the design aspects of the movement, as well as researching the movement in general. One of the options is Expressionism, which interests me, but I can only find information on how Expressionism influenced architecture, rather than design in general. Should I choose a different movement like Bauhaus, which I dislike, but which I can find plenty of information on? I'm supposed to be drawing fixings and fastenings applied to buildings, but I don't see where they would be on buildings? My head hurts.

I did an AS in Art History this year and have a handout which has a bit of info on abstract expressionism, hope it helps!
