trinity hall accomodation

hi there,
i have got a place at trinity hall and got this accomodation letter, in which I can choose between 4 different categories of accomodation....increasing in price.
Are all these within the actual college buildings? I mean the central site. Or are some of the cheaper ones possibly further away???? And if so..how far?

Last year there were only 3 categories as I remember, I went for category 2 and paid just over £60 a week for a massive room. It was said that few people went for top band so some people got top band rooms at middle band prices. All first year accomodation is on site, the lower price band will just get smaller rooms. I know that some people who went for top band were put onto Q staircase which has relatively new facilities and a proper kitchen.

There are a few Tit Hall Natscis on here this year...

hey, does anyone know what the bathroom facilities are like? like do rooms have their own bathroom or is there one for each hall?

Bathrooms are shared between staircases, though there will often be more than one depending on the size of the staircase. No college rooms offer en suite. On B staircase we had two showers (one of which only did very hot or very cold, the other of which was pretty decent) and two toilets. Rooms have sinks in them.

We got our stuff after everyone else last year. They're later in giving out parents and children as well. I want babies!

Well, I'd had my parent letter by this point last year and I got my freshers' pack the day I went on holiday which was early September, maybe the second week. I've e-mailed the girl who's sorting families out to see when we find out about children, I'm going away soon and I don't want mine to think I'm ignoring them!

shes a medic! im not quite sure what parent/child etiquette is, should i contact her, or wait for her to contact me first???

She'll probably contact you first but I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem if you e-mailed her or something first. If my son or daughter were to e-mail me before I'd contacted them I'd not think it weird, well, maybe I would if my son did, he doesn't know about me this.

I got mine, she's called Nikki and is a Theology student... Other than that I've heard nothing from college.
Regarding accomodation, are all the rooms within a band situated together e.g. band 4 all on corridor F or whatever?

Oh my gosh, Nikki's awesome! She's at Tit Hall though so that's no surprise. :p:

I'm going to stay with friends this week and should hopefully be having a night out with Nikki.

Rooms... no, they're not all together. I had a massive room on B staircase but there was a tiny one just a few doors down. Some people get what appears to be an upper band room for a lower band price though, because apparently most people go for middle band but there aren't enough middle band rooms.
