He has helped to make the world a better place by creating Microsoft which employs probably a million odd people worldwide and positively impacts the daily working practice of much of the world.

Yes, which was quite surprising. Never been in an IKEA shop before, where as Microsoft is everywhere.

He was for a time. Most of his wealth is in assets though I think? Don't know don't care!
