Anyone got accommodation offer for DEH? When u going up - 14th for me, if I can get a lift!

meeee!!!! i got dalton ellis! ensuite wooo!! i'm not back from my holiday until the 14th, then i'll have to pack! but i want to get there as early as i can to settle in and meet people.

I went to have a look today because i couldn't remember it at all! i think all buildings and floors are mixed apart from most ground floors, which i think are mainly for guys, probably for security? the huge projector screen in the bar looks cool too!

I was talking to the accom office the other day as I'm on crutches and need a ground floor flat. The response to my request was that was that they only give females a ground floor room as the absolute last last last resort.

I didn't question it any further, but it was certainly reassuring. I am now having a first floor room.

...Anyone know where I can bulk buy padlocks?! :eek:

(BTW I'm hopefully going to be in Canterbury court, so not too far away from you Dalton Ellisians! :p:

I also got offered Dalton Ellis. However, I wanted an en suite room in the Sutherland block but I didn’t know where to put it on the application. Hopefully I can talk to the accommodation office today and ask to be moved.

Yeah I spoke to the accommodation office today and they said that they didn't put girls on the ground floor in any of halls if it wasn't absolutely necessary. I wonder why...................

I'm into Dalton Ellis!

Going up on the 16th because I have concerts on both nights beforehand.....

It's all very exciting. I've never actually seen the place, I just used the accom. brochure :s-smilie:

Hahahah yeah I just picked it from the Accommodation brochure too.

I'm in Graham block, which seems to be mixed (you can see on the DEH website) and it looks really nice. I'm so pleased, this worked out far better than i expected! Bring on the 14th :biggrin:

i'm going to pick up my keys on the 14th and start moving in... but because i live locally i'll do it over the weekend too. i can't wait to see my room and buy little bits to make it more personal!
