A gown? A GOWN? Not the sort of gowns people wear to graduate. DRESSES people. Smart dresses.

Did anyone get a yellow piece of card with loads of details to fill in? It requires yet another photo but I have no instructions about posting it / taking it with me when I move in

What are the kitchen facilities like for people who are catered? Would we get our own stove and oven? Or is it just a kettle and a microwave!

You sure? Don't think they'll allow it cos of the stupid limits on what Wattage etc you can use without blowin fuses. You can't even have a hairdryer over 800W. Has anyone found a hairdryer under that?!?!

Reply 49

Oh... I'm skinny enough as it is, I NEED MY TOASTED SANDWICHES! :banghead:

Reply 50

Yeah, I thought the hairdryer thing was 500W, which is a turd cos I've just bought a new 2000W one. I reckon I'll just write 250W on the side of it in Tippex, that's bound to work... I really dont think anyone will care.

Toasted sandwiches and dry hair > Safety

Reply 53

wait i dont get it.. i havent got any yellow slip./.. but yeah i bought a hair dryer thats like 1200 watts... i mean even if they dnt notice wont it like blow the fuses? or can i still get away with it like if im not using any other appliance at the same time?

Reply 54

The yellow slip came without any instructions so don't worry about it, no idea about the fuses.

My friend lived there for about 2 months and then moved out because she didnt like it at all.

She didnt have an ensuite though which was one of the things she didnt like, because she said in the brochure it said something like shed be sharing with 6 people, then she got there and it was 12 which is far too many.

So she moved into lambert hall.
