Fluoride also gives you stomach ulcers. That's why you can't swallow toothpaste. My chemistry professor told me that.

ITT - pseudo science from people who have no idea what they're talking about

Chlorine is used in poison gas bombs but that doesn't stop people putting it in their swimming pools.

People got on just fine without toothpaste 1000 years ago. Why is it mandatory for us to use it now?

People also got on fine when they wiped their asses with leaves and moss. Why do people use toilet paper now?

Right because that research back then the people don't have a clue what they're talking about.

There's this weird idea that if there is a controversy regarding something, both sides of that controversy are equally valid, and so should be given equal weighting in the debate. Problem is that in the case of something like fluoride and similar controversies/conspiracies, one side is supported by decades of systematic reviews and high quality, highly relevant empirical evidence, the other side being supported by mouthbreathing redneck tinfoil hatters who couldn't pass a year 9 science class. So really, this notion of reading both sides of the argument and pretending they are equally valid doesn't work

Even if it did cause brain damage I'm sure the benefit of drinking tap water and not ****ting out your guts afterwards out-weighs any sort of damage.

Otherwise everyone who drinks tap water would be stupid.
