Jelous over GF.. is this right?

Im 17... and i love cars, currently taking lessons but also out of money so i wont be taking lessons for a while plus i cant get a car untill next year because of reasons.

but im not sure if this is right but my gf has passed her driving test and now has got a brand new car..

Im feeling really jelous..

Corse im happy but really jelous as her dad gets her anything she wants (Rich family) and im just normal family... have to work for everything.

Not only this shes also a A* Student and very smart... im a collage drop out and currently looking for training for a career. I know she loves me so much as we have been together a long time.

But why am i jelous over her. Is it right?
Whether it's "right" depends on your morals. I don't think it's right or wrong to be jealous. Sadly jealousy can lead to resentment and anger, both of which I believe are wrong. I'd be passively jealous, as in "heh, I wish I could be her", but I wouldn't obsess over it. Look on the bright side - she's rich, she's smart, and yet over anyone else she could've got by any other means, she chose you. I'm almost jealous of you. :p:

yeah your probly right. I do mention this alot to her about i hope i am good enough for your family and that ..... and shes always telling me i should never say any thing like that, its my personaility she feel inlove with not my background, and how she couldnt of got through her collage year with me etc so i know im the 1 she wants.

Its just she wants to become a doctor and no doubt about it she will defo make it as one. I just feel when were older and stuff.... shouldnt it normally be the guy who is the rich and smart one? its like she be supporting our own family instead of me.. the guy doing it.

Good for her. If your talents lie elsewhere, fine. And she's right - she loves you for who you are, not for how much money you have or how clever you are.

It's called feminism. I certainly don't think any less of you for it and she shouldn't either.
Get her to give you a lift to the pub, and feel smug that she has to drink orange juice all night.

Unless she's hanging your testicles from her rear view mirror, you shouldn't feel belittled.

OMG i think your must be a male version of me!! The exact same thing happened to me! My BF passed his test before me and his uncle bought him a brand new car for his 18th and he passed all his exams and went to uni.
I on the other hand had an 800 pound micra, took ages to pass my test (2nd time but loads of lessons) and i failed my exams. I was so horrible to my bf about it, but you will get over it. I know exactly where you are coming from though but jelousy is a horrible thing. My bf is getting another brand new car for his 21st in september but i won't even be bothered this time. Try and get a good job and pay for things yourself... trust me it's much more rewarding!

think of the positives, you can get drunk whilst she drives you about.
what more do ya want?
I think it's perfectly natural to feel slightly jealous in this situation, she's got things that you're desperate to have.

But rather than mulling over the fact that you are jealous, how about feeling lucky and happy that you have a girl with so much potential and things going on in her life?

sounds like my situation...apart from the fact my boyfriend is loving it
I drive him around, he can get drunk, never pays petrol.

He has the theory we're going to stay together forever so he can have an easy ride...he wants me to have a high paid job, to drive, to pay the bills. He loves the idea and thinks he can get away with doing nothing for the rest of his life.
