I'm in sixth form at the moment, and I'm currently looking at universities for entry in September 2015.
I want to go to a university where I can commute to each day so I've been looking at local universities. I've been to the open days at: University of Hertfordshire, Anglia Ruskin, and University of Bedfordshire. I really liked the look of Anglia Ruskin and Hertfordshire, so I'm definitely going to apply for them.
In the past couple of days I've been thinking that I really should apply to more than just 2 universities, but finding somewhere that is easy to commute to seems difficult!
So I looked on the internet for unis in London that do psychology, and I've narrowed it down to three: City University London, University of Westminster, and London Metropolitan University (obviously I haven't been to any open days for any of these yet).
Looking at the League Tables (for Psychology), the order of these universities are:
1.
City University London (33)
2.
University of Hertfordshire (54)
3.
University of Westminster (69)
5.
London Metropolitan (99)
The league tables quite surprised me really, I would have expected Anglia Ruskin to be much higher (based on the open day), and personally I thought they were both brilliant but still slightly preferred Anglia Ruskin over Hertfordshire. Judging by the league tables, it looks like City University is really good!
So I just wondered whether anyone's experiences or what they know about these universities matches up to their position on the league tables? If any of you are studying or have studied at any of these universities I'd really appreciate your opinion on them, especially if you are/were a psychology student. Also it would be useful if any of you have an idea from what you've heard or through your own experience about what the disability support is like at each of these universities? Thanks!
