talking to some of my female freinds they all said that confidence is an appealing characteristic in a man, but does anyone here think that confidence could put them off a person? im not talking about arrogance or being outright cocky but just in general?

I don't really see confidence as a very desirable characteristic in anyone. I much prefer those who are humble and altruistic.

Having the confidence to go to a party and think 'hey, i'm pretty sexy' is good. Going to a party and thinking 'I'm the sexiest person here, I can have anyone I want!' is bad.

No, its a pretty distinct line. Arrogance is when it annoys people because you believe you are better than you are. Confidence is just being comfortable with yourself.

Confidence is a good thing untill it steps into cockiness.

I hate a bloke who says his all it...normally because he thinks he is....now someone who is confident but doesn't shout about it is all it :smile:

If anyone is not confident about themselves then that really annoys me.
