I've never been abroad before but a friend of mine is trying to organise a weekend trip to Portimao (south coast of Portugal) in December. I'm just wondering, does anyone know what the climate is like around that time?
I'm thinking, although it's south Portugal, it's still on the coast of the Atlantic and I can't imagine being on the beach being all that comfortable. On the other hand it's much cheaper than Summer and I can't imagine I'd be able to bear the heat in the summer. The total cost would be about £110 which isn't bad for a first weekend abroad. But is it worth finding somewhere better/warmer?
