Strange Smell *Down there*!

Ok i am at my wits end with this problem.
For about 3 years I have been noticing a...well...unpleasant smell coming from my lady garden, and nothing i do will get rid of it.
I have tried EVERYTHING! Soap, Shampoo, Shower gel, perfume..even Bleach! and nothing will get rid of it, now its both smelly and blonde, which looks stupid cos my hair is black!!!
I am scared to get a boyfriend incase he comments on it, it would be soooo embarrassing, and im off to Leicester university in september and i heard its full of cute guys hehe, i reallt want it sorted by then...any advice please? IM DESPERATE!!!

Woah too much information woman!

Bleach! What!

From your pubes or fanny? Shave it off.
shave it all off and use some deodorant for intimate areas, it's advertised on tv
Well it may also be due to your diet..or so i have heard. apparently eating alot of fish gives it a fishy smell/ but not sure..so maybe a change in diet is in order

Sounds like you've got an STD.

away to the doctors with ya.
Get to your doctor, it's probably an STD.

And don't put bleach down there! Jeeeez!
what about feminine washes... you didnt say you had tried them.

TMI and you shoudln't be worrying about 'cute guys' if you have a bf IMO but never mind....

I think I'm right in saying that you shouldn't go over-board on shower gels etc down there because we're self cleansing? In which case you may have over done it?

I've heard the diet thing too....

I am sure it is not an STD, i have only ever kissed a boy.
i know bleach wasnt a good idea..but i was just so fed up i couldnt think of anything else.
Is there anything i could do without seeing a doctor as i really dont want another person to smell it.
Going to the STD clinic straight away, better safe than sorry

The hair colour will grow out, and you can either trim or shave it to get rid of it more quickly.

As for the smell itself, it's possible you're noticing it more than anyone else would because you're more sensitive to it. However, using soap or any kind of shower gel etc there won't help, because it affects the pH balance of your vagina and so makes it worse. There are specially designed wipes/washes for that area which may help; if not it could be you have a bacterial/yeast infection or an STI. Go along to your local GUM clinic and get tested. And please don't mess around with bleach on those bits again!
Could be thrush then. Go get some canestan.
Not very nice hun and please dont use bleach again. Have you thought that all these different products could be reacting with your bits down there and thats what is causing the smell. Us ladies have to be very careful what chemicals we use, as some just upset the balance and send it all to pot. Go for a good look in Boots and find something especially made for washing there. If this does not work, go to the doctors.

Thanks for the advice i havent tried ay special intimate cleaning wipes, i hadnt even heard of them until you said. i will try them and hope they work.
Bleach??!! Please please please please never use bleach down there! Bleach is fine for toilets and sinks... but not there! and try some of those specially designed feminine wipes and nip down to your local GUM clinic....and to get rid of the colour of the hair - cut or shave it - it will grow out eventually!
If you go shopping and look where the toilet paper is there is wipes there and next to sanitary towels/tampons. These wipes are brill to use even if you have nothing wrong.

You must have a screw loose - but you wouldn't understand what I mean by that, seen as you don't understand the use of an appropriate euphemism.
