Is it good compared to that of Product design or engineering and what makes it different?

I did resistant materials at GCSE.

The first year involved creating small projects and learn about wood, plastic and metal work.

The second year we designed and produced a product for a client. For example you could make a table, chair, tv stand. I made a desk/ gadget tidy and said that my dad was the client.

Overall yeah its a pretty good subject but with all DT subjects there's a lot of work/ time involved.
