contraceptive pill

ok very random question...

I stopped taking the pill a few months ago, just cause I forgot for ages and then couldn't be bothered cause it didn't seem....uh....necessary
was thinking of starting to take it again but I haven't had a period since I stopped...so is there really any point? (I took it as contraception)
also even if I did want to start again, the instructions are that I start on the first day of my next period...and if I haven't had one what then?

yeah I'm aware I should probly ask a pharmacist or something...but just incase anyone here knows...:p:

(oh and ps i'm totally sure i'm not pregnant...just so I don't get a lot of replies saying 'you stopped taking it and now you missed your period OMG' )

I'd suggest going to a real doctor or even one of those Brooke centres. I think you'll have your question 100% correct then. It's important you ask the professionals on an issue like this

although if you had been to the doctors, and hadnt had a period for a while they would turn around and say start taking it again, reguardless to your period.

Best thing to do is book a pill check, explain you want to restart your old variety, they should give you a quick check over, blood pressure etc. And probabily provide you with a new prescription, and tell you to bin your old ones and use these. Doctors and nurses, dont like you using old stock.

Glory is right if you are not menstrating then you can begin the pill whenever.

But you should get blood pressure checked as the pill has a significant effect and should be checked about every 6 months.
