    First, good luck!

Second.... Depends on your health board. But you might be seen by a Psychiatric nurse first or straight to Psychiatrist and also get the nurse. Are you sure it's not Psychology as that tends to be just the Psychologist and for a short time. Well here any way!

No my doc specifically stated he'd ask for a psychiatrist in my recommendation letter.

Have you got any idea on time frames or does that depend on the trust?

Are you in Scotland as you need to be seen within a certain time. 18 weeks I think. Not sure about England but no doubt as the NHS in England is pathetic how long is a piece of string? A phone call to reception and she will tell you th time frame. As they tend to know these things rather than making an appointment to see the Doc.

The time frame will depend on where you live and if it was an urgent referral. I waited 7 months with an urgent referral on the NHS. Pretty ridiculous.

7 months?? That is absolutely preposterous. Was there a reason?

It's an urgent referral. My doctor's convinced that since I'm now clean I'm going to pick something else up and that my agitation is too high to live with day to day.

I will say that it's through the Southern Health Trust if anyone has any experience in that area of the country?
