hi all, i just got my results and got 42.8% average for my second year. It's impossible for me to get a first now since i'd need to get 100% for my third year. (uni's weight age = 33.33% for second year and 66.7 for third)

So i was wondering whether it would still be possible for me to get a 2:1? i need to score an average of 75% for third year. I'm studying economics at the moment.

    thanks

So for 1/3 of your overall score, you have 42.8.
1/3*42.8=214/15 (this is your final score so far, around 14%).

So a 2:1 is at least 60%, so you need 686/15 more final score, which is 68.6% in your third year.
    (Check: If you do 42.8 *1/3 + 68.6 * 2/3 = 60).

I hope my maths makes sense!

So yeah it is still possible for you to get a 2:1. You could actually get a 1st if you got 83.6% in your third year.
