I am doing the IB and I want to study law at Cambridge. My courses are
English A HL (language and literature)
French SL (self taught)
I'm considering dropping to Math Studies but I'm scared my courses won't look challenging enough -- Is it safe to make the move?
I'm also applying to LSE.

Honestly wouldn't make a difference imo.
I took SL maths even though I'm terrible at it and struggled for 2 years. If you think you'll struggle with Maths SL, take studies. There's no benefit whatsoever for taking SL.
I still got rejected by UCL and LSE even though I had 3 essay subjects - history, english lit and economics at HL and Maths SL whereas other people who had taken math studies got accepted. Your SL subjects matter very little when it comes to applying to universities. Your igcse grades, IB predicted, PS, LNAT score are more important.Last edited by iamyourmum; 01-07-2014 at 15:57.
