I'm currently studying business Btec level 3 and doing not bad at all I will be starting my second year soon. Definitely want to go to uni in 2015.
however I'm about 100 ucas points short so I was thinking of doing 1 fast track a level in business studies with stonebridge uk. Is this a good idea? How hard will it be?
p.s. Pardon the spelling, typing this from my phone

Doing a business a-level when you'll have a business BTEC seems silly. Chances are there is a lot of cross-over so they might not actually give you credit for two separate qualifications when you're applying for university.
I'm guessing you want to do business at university, so probably be better picking something like economics possibly, or maths is always good, even accounting if you think that might be useful to you. Even economics may have some elements of overlap, but at least they are somewhat distinct from each other.
Just consider it will be a lot more work doing a full A-level on the side! You could always try and do a foundation year (which will probably accept you with just the BTEC) so check those out as it might make things a bit less stressful. It's an extra year at university, but that's not the end of the world.

Thank you for the reply. My main choice will be a degree with a foundation year at Leeds university however the chances of me getting in are a bit too slim unfortunately. My second choice is northmubria which is the reason I wanna do an a level as they don't really offer any business related degrees with a foundation year. I'm actually planning on studying finance. So ye might think about doing a level accounting instead, I think it's worth a shot don't really see any other options.
edit: not accounting sorry, maths as I'm think I'm more than capable messed up my gcses big time though.Last edited by Sawmebanginonthe; 01-07-2014 at 22:11.
