Hey Buddy, I've just finished my degree in this (minus the industry part). Have you got any questions?

Yeah I'm looking to apply for this course in the autumn, for 2015 entry. Overall how was your experience? I understand that It's a joint honours but how much management is involved, or is it evenly weighted?

I'm currently studying the BTEC extended ND in ICT where I'm predicted D*D*D* by June 2015. Always been interested in computing and business. But do you think I would be more successful applying for computing as a single honours, since I'm studying a BTEC, or wouldn't it matter.

    Thanks

I've really enjoyed it - i found adding Management to be great as it allowed me to engage in different styles of teaching/assessment. This degree isn't actually a joint honours, the indication is that it's Computing 'with' rather than 'and'. As a result of this i'd say you spend a third of modules studying Management and the rest is Computing.

As you say your interest has been in Computing and Business this is a clear indicator that this would be the course for you as opposed to the other courses the department offer (Computing, Computer Science and Computer Science and Maths). I don't think studying BTEC's will effect your application, along as you meet the BTEC requirement and you take time writing your personal statement you should be fine

Thanks for the information. Seems like my interests and course content match

Tbh I will definitely meet the entry requirements. I'm predicted D*D*D*by June 2015, so that will not be a problem.
