How much hair do you lose with each hair wash? Im just wondering because I never use to lose hair when after washing it, but recently, I have. Im 17 and male. Thanks.
I read about this, lmao, one second let me quote the book
the "typical" male loses about 50 to 100 hairs a day...out of around about the 100,000 you have.
Grab a clump of hair, tug gently but firmly. It's normal for 6 or fewer hairs to come out, More than 6 could be an early warning you're becoming a slaphead
Ask their makles in your family. I dont lose much. Maybe 5/6 hairs. If you think its too much you can try to increse the protein in your diet. It is one of the causes of premature hair loss.
I noticed a few months back when I was in the shower that lots of my hair was coming out. If it doesn't run in the males in your family; it's worth going to your GP and having a few tests done to see if it can be attributed to stress; or possibly a specific condition.
I had a blood test; a urine sample and an appointment at the hospital, and eventually they said it was probably because I'd been ill with the flu quite badly in February when the Influenza B virus was going round.
It also might be worth speaking to your hairdresser- mine was the one who suggested the blood test, and she had a look at it and told me what she thought was going on. Also, they might be able to give you a cut which looks like it's deliberately thin if it's starting to thin in places.
I hope yours stops soon, I remember how I felt when it happened. You start to feel that everyone's looking at how thin your hair has become, but in reality no-one noticed, apart from those whom I told.
Are you putting gel in your hair? Because that would give the impression that more hairs come out in the shower becuase any hairs that fall out in the day are still stuck on your head at shower time...so you really will have around 50-100 hairs come out in the bath.
oh yeah i had a dilemme like that, but mine looked this cos i let it get really greasy and it stuck together making it look balding, also i used to lsoe a ton of hair but its going ba\ck to normal, if you are still worried, look up the hair life cycle, you lose lots like every 6-8 years, then it gets abck to normalk.
Don't most of those hairs grow back? Or am I just naive :P If one were to loose 100 hairs a day then it would only take 1000 days to lose all of them, so I presume they grow back :P
I would imagine that most of them grow back
And yes I am one of those irrationally worried about balding
