    Hey I'm new, just joined today. So I actually joined this forum to get some advice as I start Uni in September. Going to be studying applied computing...

    One of the things I'd really like to do at Uni is to get into a relationship (I'm straight by the way xD) and I was wondering if anyone had some advice about approaching a girl you don't know, what to say and sort of how to progress gradually into a relationship...

    I'm not the most confident person in the world and don't really have many friends who are girls, and also I've never actually asked a girl out or dated before! So If anyone had any advice, I'd be grateful

    Thanks.

    Damn it, I was so looking forward to getting to know you better! DX
    You sure you're straight?

    Anyway, if you really want to socialise, GO TO FRESHERS, most parties on campus take place in the weeks leading up to/beginning of term.
    Then just go with it, you can't really go wrong. Just need to be in the right place at the right time. =l

    EDIT:
    Which uni are you going to anyway?

    Haha yes I am straight. I was going to go to Freshers, just get involved. I'm going to Uni in Weston-Super-Mare? Don't know if you know it?

    Nope, don't know of it (the uni, I do know of the place Weston-Super-Mare, wish I didn't though...), sorry. =l
    2 best things to do at uni for socialising;

    1. Society - Very good place to meet people with a common interest
    2. Freshers

    Keep an eye out for socialising events around the uni, especially around certain times of the year (new years etc...).
    Although, try to socialise with as many people as you can at the beginning of the year, leaving it late gets kinda awkward and all the good ones will have gone. =l

    Thanks for the reply. I was actually also thinking of finding a society to join so I can hopefully find someone with the same (or at least some of the same) interests as me.
