So mine and my 5 housemates' contract for the house started yesterday. Electricity, water, and gas are still running to the house, but we haven't signed a single thing to do with bills. As we will not be living there until September, we don't care whether these services run to the house.
Does the responsibility of paying the bills get automatically transferred to us? Our landlord is installing a new bathroom from the 8th July, and he's already causing hassle and being unprofessional. Just a minor thing, but he let himself into the house today with nobody in, left someone's bedroom door wide open with the light on, and she has valuables in there. None of us will be in the house, so that's why we're wondering if bills are now our responsibility. We're just a bit wary that he'll be as inconsiderate when works have begun.
He's also asked us to pick a provider. First time doing stuff like this, so please have a bit of patience with me if I sound stupid :P
