What's this type of surgery called? Watch

    Im getting operated on for my allergic rhinitis where Ill be under general anaesthetic where they'll remove part of the component inside my nose that filters the air.

    I would like to research this further so if anyone knows what this surgery is called or what the air filter in the nose is called that would be great!

    I'm tempted to say Somnoplasty? Probably wrong though, but you can look into it here.

    And the 'air filters' you mentioned are called nasal concha/turbinates - explained here.

    It sounds as if they're reducing what're called your nasal turbinates, i.e. a turbinectomy. Of course you should ask your surgeon what the exact procedure is, as there are variations of this
