Weight loss tablets

Hello
I'm currently trying to slim down a bit. I've exercised a lot for a year and while I'm a lot stronger and fitter I haven't lost huge amounts of weight, in fact put on a bit, though I know this is partly due to muscle weight gain. However I was wondering what people thought of fat burning tablets, if they were useful for a month to really burn off some fat. Obviously this would be done in conjunction with a healthy diet and I'm not going to go for ones that say miracle cure etc etc but was wondering if anyone had had any experience of them

I would avoid it. I'm not an expert.

any legal "fat burner" is only marketing and no effect. If you go for illegal ones then take one with ephedrine. But I would not take them.
You could try highly dosed green tee extract tablets .. they might have an effect together with your diet. But as you said .. no miracles.

I thought that was a weight loss program. Like a combination of diet and exercise?

EDIT:

Did some research. Apparantly it is a pill that "works" *cough* placebo *cough*, but like most things has some side effects.

Xenical? Nah it's the trade name for orlistat, which is a drug that stops the absorption of fat into the body.
It's like all medication, people think they'll do magic... I think it sad that we now live in a society which thinks that tablets can solve problems. Just cut down on the sugary foods, fizz drinks and eat more natural. Go for walks... it's the only way you'll lose that fat.

I'm not sure  I just went to the post office, and the guy started talking to me about how much the xenical tablets cost

£6.65 on prescription  that's the only way people should be getting them.

Along with jogging running playing sports and doing weight training. I wasn't asking for a magic cure just something to aid the weight loss for a month or so. I know taking a tablet isn't going to change the way I look over night.

Better to do these things naturally. You can't take a pill forever. It's better to get into a routine.
I am no expert, but I'd steer clear of any pills.

You don't know about any side effects, or long-term damage that the pills can cause. Also you should do it naturally, and when you reach the weight you are looking for it will be a lot more rewarding.

My mum used Xenical for a short while, and lets just say, the side effects aren't very pleasant! If it was me, i wouldn't even consider using weight loss tablets!

Do not take Ephedrine, it is extremely dangerous and causes all sorts of problems, heart palpitations etc.
It's illegal for the consumers own good.
