I received and offer from Glasgow University asking 90% in three state exams including Mathematics and a science subject.

I was wondering whether IT is considered as a science subject. In my home country, 'science' is usually interpreted as either Physics, Chemistry or Biology, but I assume this subject classification might be a bit different in the UK?

It should clarify this on their website. Most courses consider physics, chemistry, biology (and variations such as human biology) as well as psychology and geography science subjects. IT is not normally considered a science, although computer science (which is a very different course) might be.

However, the university should not have given you an offer you can't meet. If you're worried that you can't meet their conditions then contact them ASAP and ask them to clarify.

No it definitely isn't. Science in the UK is Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and sometimes Psychology depending on the uni.

Strictly no but they might stretch some definitions if it's for a related course - so send them an email
