How regular is a 'regular' period cycle? Watch

    • Thread Starter

Girls - should you be able to know when your period is going to come on to the day? My periods are regular-ish, but my cyles vary in length by around 4-5 days....is this normal? I'm worried this is irregular and will cause me problems getting pregnant etc.

I'm on the copper IUD if that makes a difference. thank you !

I am the same, some women can time their watch by it, others have a slightly longer/shorter cycle meaning that their periods come on different days. You know what is normal for you, and if you are concerned should see your GP but what you have described seems totally normal to me. I have never had regular periods.

Well mine is ****ed up and happens every two weeks. That's not normal. But generally they should be 21-30 days apart and last for around 4-7 days.

It's normal and i'm the same

Regular periods can be between anything of a 28-42 day cycle I think it is (roughly), and anything over is when there's a problem, mine is irregular and can go from 30 days one month to 36 the next, it's normal but as long as you come on and isn't very early (like 21 days) or really late like over 42 then try not to worry about it too much

I also kept regular track and wrote down the dates for 6 + months to work out which time of the month I am ovulating/fertile as I was worried about falling pregnant also

    Hope this helps! X
