okay so i really didn't want to go to private accommodation on my first year but it looks like i won't have a choice, because my parents refuse to take care of my dog so that'll be my only option.

the reason i'm making a thread about it is to ask if anyone knows if it's difficult to find a landlord that would allow a dog? also, how do i apply for private accommodation? is it also through uni or do i have to do it myself?

Heeey, private accommodation is generally done separately and nothing to do with the uni. However, in some cases of you speak to the universities student union they will offer advice and support on accommodation that may be more suitable for you that can be part of the uni too

Best of luck, I'm in a similar situation! X

it can be, yes. most student landlords won't allow pets. Plus you need to consider if you'll have enough money for pet insurance on a very limited student budget.
