Glenda Jackson recently made an awe-inspiring speech unmasking IDS and the DWP. She exposed him and his disgraceful policies - I feel proud to have met this woman. Take a look:

Don't know much about her but I enjoyed that speech she made on Thatcher when she died.

Also why are those people surrounding her on their phones constantly?

Like bored students in a lecture.

Great speech. IDS is so emblematic of what the core of Toryism is about; people who have only ever known privilege and wealth by some degree, shaping policies for their own ends while doing their best to blame, demonise and further impoverish the poor at the same time. We've easily rolled back to 'Victorian values' where social policies are concerned. It doesn't help that IDS is both a disgrace by his 'values' and widely recognised as a talentless but well connected buffoon.

The problem is that the Labour Party today, as a Party, have no genuinely leftist agenda, we see weak-willed left-liberalism at most while they are seemingly too willing to concede right-wing Tory policies already implemented as if 'reversal' isn't even in their dictionary. Having said that I'd still vote for Glenda if I was her constituent.

He's actually cleansing the disabled and vulnerable from the country. The welfare "reform" is a complete joke. Worst thing is all the Telegraph, Mail readers and other die-hard Tories defending it as being necessary to reduce expenditure without an iota of conscience or awareness. And it could happen to any one of us outside the monied. So many of this generation are going to die like animals. He said in the earlier years of the coalition that they'd provide for those genuinely in need but they're basically exterminating them.

We're basically a third world country now. An impoverished satellite of the US. Cruel Britannia.

She used to be a decent actress. Plus she used to get her kit off if "the part demanded it"

To be serious a cracking speech. IDS smirking throughout.

She does not mention that the lack of unskilled jobs is due to Labour's disastrous immigration "policies"

And Thatcher's smashing of the industrial working classes and their communities had nothing to do with it? Pull the other one. It works for all parties, including Labour, to have the lower classes in their place pouncing like hungry dogs to meat at the nearest job, regardless of pay or working conditions. Of course Labour opening the floodgates was disastrous, but it's all one side of the same coin. It works for employers like multinationals (whom the likes of IDS are of course funding with the disastrous and illegal Work Programme) and the political establishment to have a broken working class ripe for exploitation. It's an effective way to rapidly build their economic and social capital.

To quote a greater man than I, the three major parties are three cheeks of the same arse, if an arse could have three cheeks.

Don't end up becoming disabled and impoverished one day mate, it'd be too ironic.
