I'm doing four A2s next year and wanted to also self-teach another AS, I'm interested in both Government and Politics and Economics (both on AQA exam board).
Seeing as I can't decide it's going to come down to convenience, which out of the two is the easier at AS? I already have a decent amount of knowledge and interest in both but would still have to learn the technicalities.

Heya, I'm going to put this in the Economics forum for you as you should get more responses there.

You should also check out the forum to see if there's any other threads there which might be helpful to you! http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=884

Definitely Government and Politics. If you already have an interest in politics then you should know enough to get a C on the exam papers already, and there isn't much to learn bar a few examples and some concepts which are basically common sense making it easy to learn.

Economics is probably a subject where you definitely need a teacher. I did A-Level Economics for 2 years, and even with a really good teacher some things just wouldn't make sense, and if I'd had no one to ask about it, it would have probably been impossible.

    Hope this helps!

Same advice as above regarding Economics. It is not easy to learn it on your own, I would assume that's also the case with government and politics.
